Common questions
Which versions of PowerPoint are supported?
PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 on Windows and Mac, and PowerPoint for the web. Some features need a recent version: deck theme colours need Windows Version 2601+ / Mac 16.105+, and updating grouped timeline shapes needs Windows 2504+ / Mac 16.96+. PowerPoint on iPad isn't supported.
I moved or recoloured a bar and PMO Pilot kept my change. Why?
That's Smart-Lock: manual position, size and colour changes are kept when dates update. To undo them, use Style → Reset manual tweaks.
I dragged a bar. How do I update its dates?
Select Edit → Sync from slide, or turn on automatic sync. Dates snap to whole days.
"Some timeline shapes are grouped" — what should I do?
Older PowerPoint versions can't update shapes inside a group. Select the group, choose Ungroup, then try again.
Some items didn't fit on the slide.
Very dense timelines are shown partially rather than overlapping. Try Style → Exec summary, or split the timeline across slides.
